UNDERSTANDING STAGE 2
When Who You’ve Been Begins to Feel Too Small
As your awareness deepens, you may begin questioning parts of yourself that once felt fixed—your roles, expectations, beliefs and familiar ways of responding to life.
The Ego Cracking isn't about losing who you are. It's about beginning to recognize the difference between what you've learned to be and what still feels true to you.
WHY THIS STAGE MATTERS
Questioning Creates Space for Something More Authentic.
The beliefs, roles and patterns that shape us often develop gradually—and we may carry them for years without questioning whether they still fit.
This stage invites you to look at those layers with greater awareness and begin separating what genuinely reflects you from what may have been shaped by expectation, fear or the need for approval.

The Wake-Up Call is the beginning of spiritual awakening — the moment you start sensing that something in your life, identity, routine, or inner world no longer feels fully aligned. This stage can arrive as a quiet inner nudge, a growing sense of restlessness, or a disruptive life moment that causes you to question what you’ve accepted as normal. You may not have answers yet, but something within you is beginning to wake up.
Does This Feel Familiar?
This stage can feel unsettling because the old may no longer fit—even while what comes next is still taking shape.
You may be experiencing the Ego Cracking if you:
-
Question roles, labels or beliefs that once defined you
-
Feel caught between who you've been and who you're becoming
-
Notice old patterns, triggers or reactions more clearly
-
Feel more emotionally sensitive or internally conflicted
-
Find yourself resisting expectations you once accepted
-
Feel increasingly uncomfortable with people-pleasing or approval-seeking
-
Sense that familiar ways of coping no longer work as they once did
-
Know something is changing, even if you're unsure where it's leading

What is The Wake-Up Call Stage?
The Wake-Up Call is often the first stage of spiritual awakening. It’s the moment your awareness begins to shift and you start questioning old routines, beliefs, relationships, or ways of living that once felt familiar.
This stage does not always feel dramatic. Sometimes it begins quietly — through a sense that something is missing, a desire for deeper meaning, or a feeling that you are being called toward something more honest and aligned.
The purpose of this stage is not to have everything figured out. It is simply to notice what is rising within you and begin listening to the part of yourself that wants more truth, connection, and clarity.
Common signs and symptoms may include:
-
Feeling like something in your life no longer fits
-
Questioning your purpose, identity, routines, or relationships
-
Feeling emotionally sensitive, restless, or more aware than usual
-
Sensing that you are being called toward something deeper
-
Noticing old patterns, habits, or distractions more clearly
-
Craving more meaning, truth, alignment, or connection
-
Feeling curious about healing, spirituality, or personal growth
-
Wanting change, even if you don’t know what needs to change yet
